It's Been Awhile

I know the plans I have for you says; The Lord :
well my weekend getaway was not at all what I expected in fact we didnt get away at all we stayed home and chilled with the kiddo's. We spent Saturday at the outdoor fun rec. pool it was a blast the kids were so excited to all be out on a fun day and with everyone together so we will do more of that when the Lord leads. We just needed some family time and the Lord made it happen for us it was awesome. I now plan on getting back to work and hope to up date this with more as soon as Lord leads me to do so until then may GOD richly bless each one of you and give you peace and comfort this week! I love you all

The Power of an Obedient Heart!!!!!!

"Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me - put into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Phil. 4:9 (NIV)

Obedience to God is determined not by our words but by our deeds. It is easy to speak lip service in fact talking about righteousness is easy ,living it is far more
difficult, especially in today's temptation-filled world we live in. Back when God created Adam and Eve ,we have been rebelling against our Creator. WHY?? bECAUSE WE ARE UNWILLING TO TRUST GOD'S WORD ,AND UNWILLING TO FOLLOW HIS COMMANDS FOR OUR LIVES. God has given us a guidebook for righteous living called ...... you got it ...... the HOLY BIBLE our basic instructions
before leaving earth. It contains every thorough instruction we need to survive in this fallen world and when we follow these instructions it leads to fulfillment, abundance, and salvation, however if we choose to ignore God's instructions the results are as predictable as they are tragic. In Ephesians 2:10 we read, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works" (NKJV) These words are instructive: We are not saved by good works but for good works. Good
works are not the root but, rather, the fruit of our very salvation.
When we seek righteousness in our own lives, and when we seek the friendship of those who do likewise we reap the spiritual rewards that God intends for our lives. When we behave as Godly men and women , we honor God . When we live righteously and according to God's word ,He blesses us in ways we cant fully understand. Do we seek God's peace and blessings??? Then we simple need to obey
His holy word. When we are faced with trials or powerful temptations seek God's
counsel and trust the counsel He gives invite God into your hearts and live according to His commandments . When we do we will be blessed beyond measure. May we choose to be doers of the word and not just hearers of the word.
In doing so may we also be obedient to the calling the Lord has for each of us.

obedience- carrying out the word and will of God. In both the Old & New Testaments the word "obey" is related to the idea of hearing. Obedience is a positive, active response to what a person hears . God summons people to active

obedience to His revelation. People's failure to obey God results in judgment. In

the old Testament covenant between God and human beings, obedience was the basis for knowing God's blessing and favor(Ex.19:5; 24:1-8) Samuel emphasized that God's pleasure was not sacrifice but in obedience(1 Sam. 15:22). Even the promise of a new covenant emphasized obedience as God's gift(Jer. 31:33)

In the New Testament ,the obedience of Christ stands in contrast to the disobedience of Adam brought death, but the perfect obedience of Christ brought grace, righteousness, and life.(Rom.5:12-21)

We just need to trust and obey I know for me this really does come down to TRUST
you see when I am trusting in Him everything else falls into place is it easy no however it is always alot harder if I try in myself to get thru something cause I am not trusting so I remember this verse and it often helps:
"Yet in ALL things we are more than conquerors through Him who Loves us."
Romans 8:37 NKJV

God bless us all and as we obey God's word may the fruit be seen abundantly in our lives as we choose to obey God, so that those around us may see the Light in this DARK and lonely world!

Hey there Mom's!!!

Hello ladies,
This weeks Bible study has been a hard one for me dealing with some personal issues and so I have had to dedicate all of my time to seeking God and doing my homework as well as allow the Lord to continue me along in my healing process so
I have needed a little break from the blog however I hope to be sharing soon!!!!!
I am in prayer over what the Lord would have me share next but until then I leave you with this from Roy Lessin:

HELLO MOM'S

I know Bible study struck many of our cords tonight and ruffled feathers it is however the very word of the Lord. For those of you who read my blog and are not in mom's bible study the topic was on submission to our husband yes the good old S word ! you see ladies I believe that we do have a choice on how are life plays out you can go at it kicking and screaming and miss out on what the Lord has for you or you can choose to obey and recieve what He has for you and your marriage. I will share a little of my own personal struggle with this area ,you see I grew up in a home with an alcoholic father who was abusive to my mother and I told myself I will Never ever allow a man to tell ME WHAT TO DO LET ALONE SUBMIT YEAH RIGHT!! well did I find out the hard way the Lord had different plans for my life. In the first part of my marriage when I was walking and Greg wasn't I had conversations with God but but he is not obeying so WHY do I submit I dont want too. Well you see God's word commands that we do and it is not conditional based on their actions and behavior so as this started to unfold I DUG MY HEALS IN let me tell you. I would see him making poor decisions I knew were wrong and going to hurt our family and I wanted to take control and the Lord said no no no! you see when I did take control we were now both out of the covering of the Lord and missing out on blessings He would have for us. Also my husband shared with me at one point that when I try to take charge I tear him down which really is the last thing I wanted to be doing . Ladies it is God's plan for us to have heavenly marriages and the way to obtaining this is by following His divine order for our families He has set this up with Adam and Eve . As our Bible Study books shared God is first then our husbands and so on. I am thankful for that covering . when we are submitting to our hubby's we are being the helpmeet we are called to be and being obedient to God. God has made us to be a help meet not the one in control when we try to take that control our households are out of that divine order. I love what our book said this does not make us inferior to our husbands nor do we lose our dignity we just have different functions and our homes can only function well when we are doing our part and WHEN OUR HUSBANDS OUR NOT WE LOOK TO GOD TO FILL THE GAP WE DONT TRY TO FILL THE GAP. GOD STANDS BY US WHEN WE STAND BY OUR MAN. Ladies I am not telling you this is easy because I have been there and have experienced both sides submitting and not and I tell you what I prefer to submit and know I have the covering of not only my husband but My Lord who loves me and cares for me and just as CHRIST HUMBLED HIMSELF AT THE CROSS TO TAKE ON OUR SINS SOMETHING HE DIDNT DESERVE HOW MUCH MORE SHOULD WE OURSELVES HUMBLE OURSELVES AND SUBMIT TO OUR HUSBANDS ? I also want to share that when I tryed to wear the pants and not submit I hurt my hubby in the process and now that my focus is on GOD my husband can see that in me and He starts to seek after the Lord more and how God would have him bless me which has been awesome for our marriage.
I also have learned to pray that the Lord would change my heart toward my husband make me grateful and thankful for my husband and trust in you Lord to do the work in myself and my husband. I never would have said this a year ago however look what God can do I now cherish my time with my Husband and want to submit to him. The Lord does amazing things when we just TRUST AND OBEY it really is BLACK AND WHITE easy no however it is made harder when we try to take the control God did not intend for us to have. I encourage you with a scripture I love and the Lord has given me to get through many a trials :
"AND LET US NOT GROW WEARY WHILE DOING GOOD, FOR IN DUE SEASON WE SHALL REAP IF WE DO NOT LOSE HEART " Gal.6:9
My prayer for each of us is to not lose heart as we submit to our husbands no matter our situation with our husbands.

"I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT THE HEAD OF EVERY MAN IS CHRIST, THE HEAD OF WOMAN IS MAN,AND THE HEAD OF CHRIST IS GOD.

THE PART WHERE I SHARED CHRIST HUMBLED HIMSELF TO DEATH SO HOW MUCH MORE SHOULD WE HUMBLE OURSELVES TO OBEY IS FOUND IN PHIL.2:5-8

ALSO TO REMIND YOU ALL SOMETHING THAT WAS SAID LAST NIGHT OUR HUSBANDS ARE TO LOVE US AS CHRIST LOVED THE CHURCH EPH.5:22-33

I also want to recommend a fabulous book that really put into light my role as a submissive wife it is titled: "CREATED TO BE HIS HELP MEET" by : Debi Pearl
This book is awesome. Ladies just know you are not alone and this study was not to condemn any of us but to guide us in our roles as Christian wives. I encourage you if this is something you struggle with and is tough issue for you get a prayer partner someone to hold you accountable and pray for you and encourage you. God bless you all and I pray the Lord continues to mold us into His image.
My prayer now is that the Lord God would give all of us a continual love for our husbands that it would cause our very inner parts to obey and submit and trust God to do the rest !

FINDING CONTENTMENT IN A DISCONTENTED WORLD

Hello fellow momma's and friends please bear with me this one is a long one.
contentment....... what is it and do we really have it???? I think we women struggle with this the most not that men dont I just think it strikes more often in us women
we tend to have the infectious disease of COMPARISON which leads to destruction every time. We women analyze and compare ourselves to each other to see if we measure up when truthfully it only matters if we measure up to God and His standards for each of our lives and not what JANEDOE is doing. Each of us is God's workmanship and are "FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE" our personalities, our appearances, gifts and talents, were given differently to each one to serve a different purpose in the body PRAISE GOD FOR THAT, can you imagine if we were all the same yikes that would be horrible. God created each of us to be who we are and it pleases Him when we are content with how He has created us and the lot He has blessed us with. It displeases Him when we become
preoccupied with material possessions or personal status, we then forfeit the contentment that is rightfully ours in CHRIST JESUS. So where do we find lasting contentment?? Is it found in wealth,power,or fame??? CERTAINLY NOT GENUINE CONTENTMENT IS A GIFT FROM GOD TO THOSE WHO FOLLOW HIM.
When Christ dwells at the center of our families and lives,then contentment will belong to us just as surely as we belong to Him. Are you seeking happiness and contentment today if so may I encourage you it is only found in Christ alone just from experience I went through discontentment for a season and missed out on many blessings the Lord had for me. We were blessed financially in the beginning of our marriage yet it was still not enough and not enough so the Lord took everything from us to give us the right mindset. Then we had nice house wanted bigger one nice things wanted more and more it was Never Enough and this is because our focus was all wrong our eyes were on STUFF and not on our Lord.
Then I struggled with the comparison thing I spoke of earlier, well her marriage is so much better if only............ well she is skinny why am I not ............well they have more money........ and the list goes on and on until I realized the Lord has ME right where He wants me and who am I to argue that I should be thankful for my very life day in and day out. You see the Lord shared with me one day Be content where I have placed you even if it is not exactly where you want to be I have something wonderful instore for you and just remember my child my timing is not that of yours so be patient,trust me, do your best with the gifts I have given you, and expect only the best from Me. Wow I know and guess what He feels that way for all of us not just me. I want to encourage you if this is an area you struggle with please get a copy of "Linda Dillow's" book titled "CALM MY ANXIOUS HEART"
THIS HELPED ME WHEN OUR CHURCH DID A STUDY ON THIS A YEAR OR SO BACK IT IS AN AWESOME HELPFUL BOOK!!! In fact this is something found in the book and I love it and want to share it with you:
this is Ella's prescription for contentment:
1)Never allow yourself to complain about anything-not even the weather.
2)Never picture yourself in any other circumstances or someplace else.
3)Never compare your lot with another's.
4)Never allow yourself to wish this or that had been otherwise.
5)Never dwell on tomorrow- remember that tomorrow is God's , not ours.
may we make Ella's list our list but above all she had her eyes fixed on eternity not STUFF, so may we fix our eyes on Jesus and things of eternity as well and be thankful for the lot He has each one of us in. I will leave you with a few scriptures:

"BUT GODLINESS WITH CONTENTMENT IS GREAT GAIN. FOR WE BROUGHT NOTHING INTO THIS WORLD, AND WE CAN TAKE NOTHING OUT OF IT. BUT IF WE HAVE FOOD AND CLOTHING,WE WILL BE CONTENT WITH THAT.1TIM.6:6-8
"KEEP YOUR LIVES FREE FROM THE LOVE OF MONEY AND BE CONTENT WITH WHAT YOU HAVE, BECAUSE GOD HAS SAID, NEVER WILL I LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU." HEB.13:5 (NIV)
"I HAVE LEARNED TO BE CONTENT WITH WHATEVER THE CIRCUMSTANCES."

Remember friends the next time you compare yourself to another's image,stuff,or lot in life to understand that person has or is experiencing the same types of hard times too and we will all come through them to face yet another trial this is what molds us into the likeness of Christ!!
